Our Story

Aqua Solutions Inc. (ASI) is advancing a large-scale environmental infrastructure project in support of the oil sands mining industry and its efforts to safely and responsibly manage mine water and tailings pond reclamation

Company Overview

ASI is an environmentally focused infrastructure company delivering innovative solutions that promote sustainability in the energy industry.

Led by an industry-leading board and management team who have a proven track record in developing, constructing, and operating large-scale capital projects in the energy sector.

ASI Project Overview

ASI’s industry solution prioritizes environmental sustainability by enabling oil sands mining operators to safely and permanently dispose (sequester) large volumes of oil sands mine water from tailings ponds. This approach provides an important tool in the water management toolbox that can help enable the safe, long-term management of oil sands mine water and future reclamation.

ASI’s midstream infrastructure will gather oil sands mine water from existing tailings ponds, transport it via a 36-inch multi-customer pipeline, and dispose of it underground through deep disposal wells. The system’s initial flow rate is 630,000 barrels/day, expandable to 900,000 barrels/day.
